Strategic Approach

1. To make progress in closing the achievement gap by 2012.
2. To break the current paradigm to allow more creative thoughts on how to educate our children.
3. To support educators in their efforts to educate.
4. To address disparities in school facilities.
5. To treat students, parents and educators as customers and partners.

 

Plan of Action

• Hold regular town hall meetings to allow for open communication between students, parents & educators.
  
• Provide opportunities for the community to learn how the education process actually works.
  
• Host a website where suggestions on how to improve education may be logged.
  
• Allow students and parents to evaluate representation.
  
• Be open to solicit & incorporate the ideas of educators, parents & students in improving the educational process.
